Outbound vs. Salesforce Sales Cloud

Every price and feature claim below traces to Salesforce's own live pricing page, checked 2026-09-08. This isn't a replace-your-CRM pitch; Salesforce is the reference implementation for a real CRM. It's a calling-capability comparison.

The one thing to know

Calling on Salesforce is an add-on, and it stacks fast.

A realistic 5-person team on Salesforce: Pro Suite $100 + Sales Engagement $50 (cadences aren't included below that) + Sales Dialer "starting at $5" = $155/user/month, billed annually, and at the end of that stack there's still no parallel dialing, no answering-machine detection, and no voicemail drop natively. Outbound's Chrome extension adds all three inside the same Salesforce Lightning record, starting at $19/seat with a 3-day free trial; parallel dialing starts at $45.

Where we're behind, plainly: Salesforce is the deepest CRM on this list by a wide margin: real custom objects, real forecasting, a report builder on every edition including free. If what you actually need is enterprise-grade CRM depth, Salesforce earns its price. What it doesn't do is calling, without stacking three more line items on top.

Questions we'd ask if we were you

Does Salesforce have a built-in power dialer?
Not natively. Calling is an add-on called Sales Dialer, starting at $5/user/month, and it's single-line: no native parallel dialing at any edition.
How much does a 5-person team actually pay for calling on Salesforce?
Realistically: Pro Suite ($100) + Sales Engagement for cadences ($50) + Sales Dialer ($5) = $155/user/month, annual: still no parallel dialing, AMD, or voicemail drop.
Does Outbound replace Salesforce?
No, and it isn't trying to. Outbound's Chrome extension runs inside Salesforce Lightning as an overlay; you keep your CRM and add real calling capability to it.
