The best CRM with a built-in power dialer

Most CRMs claim "calling." Very few ship an actual power dialer — parallel lines, answering-machine detection, voicemail drop — in the box. This guide sorts the built-in from the bolted-on, with every price and calling-model claim traced to each vendor's own pages, checked 2026-09-09.

The one thing to know

"Built-in calling" and "built-in power dialer" are not the same claim.

Among the big CRMs, only HubSpot ships calling that's genuinely native and included in the seat. Everyone else treats telephony as something you attach: Salesforce sells a Sales Dialer add-on, Zoho routes calls through a provider you subscribe to via PhoneBridge, and Pipedrive retired its built-in Caller, so calling now runs through a third-party app from its Marketplace. But here's the part that matters for outbound teams: none of the four offer parallel or multi-line dialing — HubSpot's is single-line click-to-call, and the rest lean on an add-on, a connected provider, or a marketplace app. A real power dialer that runs several lines, drops voicemails, and skips dead numbers is the gap the whole category shares.

How calling actually ships, CRM by CRM

✓ full · add-on / provider / capped · not offered

CRM Native calling Parallel / power dialer What you pay for calling Genuinely good at
HubSpot Sales Hub ✓ includedsingle-line click-to-call not offered at any tier In the seat; capped 500 / 3,000 / 12,000 min/mo. Pro & Ent add a one-time $1,500 / $3,500 onboarding fee. Recording + transcription baked in; nothing extra to wire up.
Salesforce Sales Cloud ◐ add-onSales Dialer, single-line no native parallel dialing Sales Dialer "starting at $5/user/mo" on top of a Sales Cloud license (billed annually). Deepest CRM on this list; the Dialer logs cleanly into the record.
Zoho CRM ◐ via PhoneBridgeintegrated call UX Connect a separate provider you subscribe to (RingCentral, Ringover, Amazon Connect, Zoho Voice). Tidy in-CRM calling experience; wide choice of telephony providers.
Pipedrive — no native callingretired its built-in Caller Add a third-party calling app from the Marketplace (CloudTalk, Aircall, JustCall…) that you subscribe to. Clean, well-liked pipeline CRM; large marketplace of calling apps.
Outbound ✓ built-in power dialer ✓ 1→3→5 (Beta) Free to start · no seat minimum · month-to-month. Parallel dialing, AMD, and voicemail drop in the base product.

Where each one is the right answer

Even-handed, because the honest read depends on what you're actually buying for.

Pick HubSpot if you want calling that just works out of the box with recording and transcription, and your team's call volume fits inside the minute caps — its native calling is the real thing, no third-party account required. Pick Salesforce if CRM depth is the priority; it's the reference implementation for custom objects, forecasting, and reporting, and the Sales Dialer add-on is a clean $5/user/mo layer on top. Pick Zoho if you already have (or want to choose) a telephony provider and value a tidy, provider-agnostic calling experience inside a low-cost CRM. Pick Pipedrive if you want a clean, well-liked pipeline CRM and don't mind adding a calling app from its Marketplace, since it no longer ships calling of its own. Each of these is a genuinely good CRM — this guide is about the dialer, not a verdict on the whole product.
Where we're behind, plainly: Outbound is not as deep a CRM as any of the four above. HubSpot and Salesforce have far more mature reporting, forecasting, custom objects, and marketing tooling; Zoho and Pipedrive have years of workflow polish. If deep CRM is what you need most, one of them earns the seat. What none of them ship is a real power dialer — parallel lines, answering-machine detection, voicemail drop — in the base product, and that's the one thing Outbound leads on.

Questions we'd ask if we were you

Which CRMs have a power dialer (parallel dialing) built in?
None of HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or Pipedrive offer a native parallel or multi-line power dialer — HubSpot's calling is single-line click-to-call, and the others lean on an add-on, a connected provider, or a third-party marketplace app. A real power dialer that runs several lines at once is the gap this whole category shares. Outbound's built-in dialer does parallel calling (1→3→5 lines, in Beta).
Is HubSpot's built-in calling enough for an outbound team?
For lighter call volume, often yes — it's genuinely native and included in the seat, with call recording and transcription baked in. The limits are that it's single-line click-to-call, capped at 500 / 3,000 / 12,000 minutes per month on Starter / Professional / Enterprise, and Professional and Enterprise carry a mandatory one-time onboarding fee of $1,500 and $3,500.
Do Salesforce, Zoho, and Pipedrive include calling in the base price?
Not in the seat itself. Salesforce calling is the Sales Dialer add-on, starting at $5/user/month on top of a Sales Cloud license. Zoho routes calling through PhoneBridge, which connects a separate telephony provider (RingCentral, Ringover, Amazon Connect, Zoho Voice) that you subscribe to. Pipedrive no longer offers built-in calling — it retired its native Caller, so calls go through a third-party calling app from its Marketplace (CloudTalk, Aircall, JustCall and similar) that you subscribe to separately.
Does Outbound replace my CRM?
It's a CRM plus power dialer you can start free, but it isn't as deep as Salesforce or HubSpot on reporting, forecasting, or custom objects. Many teams keep the CRM they already run and use Outbound's Chrome extension as a real dialer layer inside it, rather than replacing anything.
