Outbound vs Pipedrive

Pipedrive is a genuinely good pipeline CRM — clean, fast to learn, with a deep integrations Marketplace. The one place the two products diverge is calling: Outbound builds the dialer in and is free to start; Pipedrive's own help center says it "doesn't have a built-in calling integration." Every claim below traces to Pipedrive's own pricing page and help center, checked 2026-09-09.

The one thing to know

Pipedrive charges per seat for the CRM; calling is metered or bolted on separately.

Pipedrive's plans run $14 / $39 / $49 / $79 per user per month (Lite / Growth / Premium / Ultimate, billed annually), and you're charged per seat whether it's assigned to a user or not. Calling isn't part of the CRM the way it is in Outbound: Pipedrive's help center states it "doesn't have a built-in calling integration." Its in-app Caller is credit-metered — an included $4.00 of credit per user per month that expires monthly, with additional credit bought as top-ups that don't expire — and true multi-line dialing means subscribing to a third-party dialer from the Marketplace on top of your seat price. Outbound's dialer is built in and free to start.

Where Pipedrive is genuinely better, plainly: Pipedrive is one of the best-designed pipeline CRMs on the market — quick to set up, easy for a rep to live in, and its Marketplace is deep, so if you already run Aircall, CloudTalk, Kixie or JustCall it plugs in cleanly. Reporting and forecasting on Premium and Ultimate are strong, and the 14-day trial needs no credit card. If your telephony is already solved and you want a mature, polished CRM to organize pipeline, Pipedrive earns its price. Outbound's bet is narrower: the dialer is the product, built into the CRM, with no per-minute credit to meter.

Questions we'd ask if we were you

Does Pipedrive include a power dialer?
Not natively. Pipedrive's own help center states it "doesn't have a built-in calling integration." In-app calling runs on the credit-metered Caller feature, and multi-line parallel dialing is only available by connecting a third-party dialer from Pipedrive's Marketplace — a separate subscription.
How much does calling cost in Pipedrive?
Pipedrive's Caller is credit-metered: $4.00 of call credit is included per user per month, and that included credit expires monthly. Additional credit is bought as top-ups (top-up credit doesn't expire). Web-to-mobile calls are billed on your own phone bill instead, and a third-party Marketplace dialer is a separate subscription on top of your seat price.
What are Pipedrive's plans and prices?
As of 2026 the four tiers are Lite ($14), Growth ($39), Premium ($49) and Ultimate ($79) per user per month billed annually — renamed in Pipedrive's 2025 repackaging from the older Essential/Advanced/Professional/Power/Enterprise names. Billing is per seat: you're "charged per seat, whether it's assigned to a user or not."
Does Pipedrive have a free tier?
No permanent free plan — a 14-day free trial with full access and no credit card required. Outbound is free to start with no seat minimum, and the dialer is included.
